Rather it is part of Rural Vaughan. This is where the old dump sits and is now part of Eagle's Nest Golf Course. Maple, Concord, Rural Vaughan and Richmond Hill are neighbourhoods that border on Patterson.

Patterson is close to Highway 407 and relatively close to Highway 400, 404 and 401. Vaughan Mills is 20 minutes away as are fabulous restaurants. Food stores such as Longo's, Sobeys, Metro and No Frills, are all within a 10 minute drive.
There are elementary catholic schools and public schools in the community as well as a high schools in Patterson that rank well relative to the rest of York Region.
